Jim did a kitchen remodel of our residence. The remodel consisted of stripping out the old cabinets, counters, and appliances, taking everything down to the walls, and installing an all new kitchen. Jim is organized, meticulous, and thorough. He anticipates all situations and the job stayed on schedule. He has his regular craftsman for carpentry, plumbing, electrical, etc who are responsible and show up when scheduled. I was most impressed by the detailed schedule, which Jim provided at the inception. The schedule was 6 weeks and 2 days, and detailed which task would be scheduled each day. I thought, "fat chance!" Well, he didn't miss a day and finished two days early, working 8 to 5 weekdays, and no weekends. Needless to say, we are delighted with the results and feel that Jim provided value received for the cost. We would engage him on any future remodeling job!

We asked Jim Lydon of the Sequoia Company to remodel our kitchen. The project called for adding 200 square feet of new space with a kiva-style fireplace, custom cabinets, soapstone countertops, stainless appliances, and hardwood floors. Outside, the project included installing new structural beams, replacing the tile roof on the entire house, moving utilities below ground, and matching the existing stucco. Our objective was to bring the kitchen up to date while maintaining continuity with our vintage southwestern-style home. We particularly appreciated Jim's attention to detail. He was able to fashion new archways that mirrored existing ones, successfully re-purpose existing windows, and continue plaster and flooring so as to make for a nearly seamless transition between the old and new spaces. Jim also paid attention to time and budget. He kept the work on schedule and kept us informed of pending activities. Jim is personable, reliable, and flexible - valuable qualities for someone who is in your home on a daily basis.

In connection with the remodeling, we had demolition, framing, HVAC, plumbing, drywall, painting, and hardwood floor refinishing.
